You can't do anything. You donated the Gil to the guild under it's old leadership which has now gone. The new leadership basically "owes" you nothing.
I know this may sound harsh but that's the simple truth.
Your best bet would be to draw a line under it all - leave the FC and join another one which is active or start up one of your own.
This information is accurate. The alts inherited the FC legitimately and you donated the gil NSA so nothing is owed to you. It really sucks but I would do what Bearded suggests and find/start a new FC. You could leave your character in the current FC and hope the alts don't log in for a period of days and thus, the FC would pass to you but, I wouldn't count on this happening. Really sorry this happened to you and that you had to deal with RL issues as a result of covid. GMs cannot and will not do anything about this situation. I hope things get better for you.
I do feel bad for you. But at this point if it was me I'd count my losses and move on. Hopefully you'll find yourself a new fc that will be free of drama.
I mean that's kinda on you ain't it? Why would you ever donate gil to a FC LMAO. Especially 15 million?
I don't understand why you donated your money. Those people that don't did that to your fc are pure worms though, the karma they have coming their way will be the way they pay though, evil is energy, that energy will fester.
What's strange here is that he'd give leadership of the FC over to 2 inactive alts in the first place, while the rest of his FC abandoned ship to merge with another. This is just after being given 15 million to buy a house. I assume there's a reason you aren't moving to this merged FC yourself too. Sounds like a complex story with more to it.
Look at the bright side, you can now live the tale of The Count of Monte Cristo. . . :3. Okay bad joke sorry lol.
More seriously though that definitely is a bummer, sorry it happened. . unfortunately since there were no agreements, substantial time delay, and systems 'working as intended' (how they gained ownership), there isn't much that can be done if they're not interested in doing something themselves (besides they might not see your donation as a donation they feel obligated to hold, since it doesn't seem the gentlemen's agreement was between you and them but the former owner, so they're not even beholden to a subtle agreement let alone an official one). :( Sorry..
I assume they triggered the automatic leadership change fail-safe that FCs have so you don't get a headless FC that can't lead itself anymore when the leader abandons ship. If the leader, and himself, were offline for an extended period of time the system would shoot for the next person in the list that made the most sense (especially given the fact he said many people left the FC voluntarily to join another one).
