Error 2002: The lobby server connection has encountered an error.

Hi!

I've been getting this error for at least 1 hour now, yesterday the game was working perfectly! Nothing unusual happened between the time I log out for the last time and my latest failed attempts to play. Only thing that happened network wise was my internet going down and getting back up in less than 5 minutes last night (at this time I wasn't playing anymore and the game was closed).

A solution would be really appreciated, thank you.



Quick update: game working properly now, it seems Square Enix solved it, so ppl should try and login again =)

I'm having the same problem. It happens when I try to connect to Primal server. I live in Europe.

Reseting router or socket didn't help. Neither did disabling firewalls.

I've tried logging in for 2-3 hours now at the time of writing this.

I was having the same issue but now it's working fine for me again, no idea why so I have no idea what is going on.
I unplugged my Ethernet and plugged it back in but I don't think that was what fixed it. if resetting your router didn't work for you.

Only other thing I did prior to that is it reset the system settings in the launcher config settings I don't know if that is what fixed it or not.

I've been seeing this lobby error (2002) also with Primal since last night. I was hoping it would be resolved this morning.

Restarting my PC and unplugging my router for a spell didn't help. No amount of resetting my connection or flushing dns has helped.
Disabling firewall didn't help.

I have been able to connect to other Datacenters, but I don't play on those.

Server status for my server says it's up and everything should be ok.

Is it Primal or is it just a handful of users?

Yeah, I already tried restarting everything and resetting these system settings but problem is still there. I'm on Primal too

I have no problem connecting following data centers:

Mana
Gaia
Elemental
Light
Chaos

Trying to connect following Data centers give the error code 2002:

Chrystal
Primal
Aether

same here i play on sargantas on around 12:00 i was playing and got kicked and cant log in again

just an update I just now crashed and once again getting the 2002 error. I play on the Crystal Data Center. They did just recently finish fixing issues with Chaos and Light so maybe that is why those ones work?

On Chaos having the same problem all day. Sometimes I crash while loading, sometimes I manage to get online for 30 seconds and then get the error message.
