I could get behind this, having to grab dyes from my retainer every time is rather annoying.
They should just copy paste all the inventory system from GW2, materials and banks and all.
But yeah, these guys need to understand that not everything has to be an item.
Yes please. Not only would this free up valuable retainer space but it'd make the creation of new glamour plates a lot less annoying.
I would love to be able to keep a supply of all dyes without having to remember where they each come from.
Might I add also do the same with Glamour Prisms and Dispellers, but with them being usable anywhere you can currently use the items.
Wouldn't be as welcome as dyes, but every bit helps.
This is a wonderful idea.
Hard to get dyes (gold, pearl, general dark blue, etc.) are eating up an embarrassing amount of my inventory space.
I'd like them to condense non-premium dyes in general. All basic blue dyes would be from a single blue dye item, all red from one red, etc. Then they could have it so they are like crystals and don't take inventory space. Premium dyes like jet black, metallic, and maybe the Ishgard ones left as is or given their own storage space. Can probably set free the dark dyes and pastel ones, since pastel pink seems to be the only one that sells for much.
As it is, there is no sense of scarcity for the basic dyes so it's not worth holding players up to make them carry around the different shades individually. Most of them are from vendors and the ARR beast tribe ones are easier to unlock than ever; crafters would still be able to convert pigments so nothing lost there. Probably not worth the burden of making them disparate items.
Fill it up with a hopper of all the pigments and if you got a crafter you can just auto-craft the color you need. Except for the premium/special dyes of course.
