Suggestion: Introduce a weekly PvP token

The Feast Seasons & Rewards

We have just started The Feast Season 16. It has now been a little over 4 years since Season 1 of The Feast took place. Every season has offered a new beautiful reward to the game.

The rewards have been accessories based on your rank-tier, wolf collars, minions, trophies, armor sets and mounts. The two minions later became rewards from 2 different achievements and can now be obtained by anyone. There are however still 10 released mounts (11 once Season 16 reaches its end) and 9 armor sets that are exclusive to the top 100 from the given season.

I’ve been playing the game for several years, and have accumulated an online time of nearly a year, yet I have never seen any of these rewards anywhere in the open world. I have seen very few while waiting for a PvP match to begin.

There exists 177 mounts within the game as of this post, 2 of those mounts are legacy mounts that are unobtainable for newer players. 6.2% of all the mounts in the game are PvP Season rewards, unobtainable for anyone but the 100 players who got it during the season.

Non-existent PvP Activity on Datacenter

Trying to get into a PvP match, that isn’t the daily roulette, will result in long waiting times, at least on Light Datacenter. The only time I’ve been able to comfortably queue up for PvP has been at the start of events such as Moogle Treasure Trove, the release of new armors in The Wolves’ Pier or the release of a new PvP gamemode.

Introducing a weekly coin from PvP

I hope that I have made my point clear with the previous two sections. We have a lot of barely used lucrative rewards and we barely have anyone queuing up for PvP.

By introducing a weekly coin that can be obtained in a number of ways, I believe it would be possible to motivate more players to include PvP in their daily / weekly routine within the game.

Some suggestions as to how you could obtain the weekly coin could be:
Having to clear the entire challenge log
Play X amount of PvP, where unique game modes reward extra progress towards the weekly coin, but playing the same will also suffice. The gamemode in the daily roulette should give the least, to try and nudge people towards other gamemodes.

The weekly coin could have several uses, but the most important would be buying old The Feast Season rewards that were released X seasons ago or X years ago.

This is cool.
And if it becomes necessary, they could always instead introduce a slight recolor of these old rewards to keep the original ones unique and valuable.

I like the idea.
Even more so as much of the stuff is locked and hardly seen/used, at most you see the reward from the last season from time to time to show off and thats it.

I think Yoshi said the original stuff would never come back if people missed it but saying that, if Replica versions of the gear was introduced the would be pretty nice. It would encourage more people up get involved with PvP, and at least give a chance to get something that may have been missed by others. The mounts though could be a different story, I suppose recolours could be an option but to be fair think players might want glamour items more.

they've said that old feast rewards will never come back. it's better they stay exclusive for the people that won those rewards. otherwise what was the point of even participating if anyone could get them later?

Well getting to use an outfit or a mount exclusively for 1 - 4 years is quite a good prize if you ask me. The idea is that anyone who would be interested in obtaining them in the future would still have to wait a very long time for the reward to reach a certain age, then get enough weekly coins to obtain it. It isn't supposed to be quick and easy. It will take a while and hopefully increase PvP activity in the process.

i think the opinions of the people that originally obtained the rewards outweighs your ideas.
