Please Fix BLM

Tbh the class feels broken and unusable compared to the likes of summoner and Redmage. The fact that this class is useless in most High end raiding content unless you basically know the fights on a frame by frame level and even then if it has alot of movement blm still feels pretty bad which most of the fights realistically speaking requires a lot of movement, the effort to play this class just doesn't feel like its worth the reward. To make matters worst and this probably should be an entire thread to itself the broken macro system makes this classes already punishing mobility issue even more punishing since some weird macro spam is required to successfully use Aetherial Manipulation. Something should be done towards both either reworking BLM all together or make its high skill cap having a worth while pay off, also these so called escape tools, like Aetherial Manipulation and Ninja's Shukuchi needs to be fixed so one button can be pressed and the skill is used, its impractical for the system to require multiple presses or whatever the conditions it requires are just doesnt feel like it makes the skills as effective as they should be (getting you out of danger consistently). And as for the macro situation, that is probably better mentioned on a separate thread like I mentioned.

BLM is absolutely fine, the job is only as good as the player that uses it. RDM is available if you want low skill ceiling casting.

your opinion... not mine... and not facts... blm is the lowest used caster because of all the reasons i mention.

BLM is fine.
It has more then enough mobility options and the high skill floor is part of the jobs power fantasy or better the balance to its raw power.
For the macro problem, macros are designed to be bad for combat purposes.

BLM is my favourite job. I'm far from good at it yet, but it's fun to feel that I'm getting better every time I do a fight, because I learn the patterns (I don't do savage, though, so I'm a very casual BLM :P ). Don't change BLM, please :)

Blm does not need more mobility. If you read and use the kit right it’s actually probably too mobile for it’s own good.

Triplecast isn’t a dps increase it’s a movement skill until you have mastered a fight, swift cast is the same, xenoglossy is instant, thundercloud and fire starter procs can be used for movement, umbral soul makes it impossible to drop enoichan in most circumstances, return to ley lines, aetherial manipulation, manaward, 30 second sharpcast... slidecasting... its got a high skill ceiling and thats a good thing.

And as you learn fights, you’ll learn when you can waste these resources for potential dps increases as your movement will decrease more and more. And as you learn the fight and use the kits right, all of a sudden your dps increases and you get your pay off.

I never said BLM needs more mobility. please read what I wrote. I said fix the mobility spells. and increase the payoff for time invested, its damage isnt even the most out of all the jobs compared to its difficulty.

So you want it buffed? Sure Aetherial isnt great to use especially as a controller player and relying on a macro sucks for it but small inconvenience

I see i never knew they were designed to be bad. May i ask why? Because a skill like Shukuchi feels like it needs a macro to work properly. I can't even imagine a reason why devs would intentionally make skills like these that clearly need macros to function properly, remain broken and not fix them.

To be honest i prefer the job to feel functional over a buff, the buff request would be a consolation prize if they wont fix it, let me explain again. the reason i even suggested that is because. for the effort to master BLM the pay off isnt worth it, when easier jobs like summoner and samurai perform waaaaay better and do much more damage consistently.
