I noticed a couple of times in Stormblood's MSQ, dango is localized into English as "sweetbreads." Gosetsu exclaims, "More sweetbreads?" to Tsuyu when she buys dango.
"Sweetbread is a culinary name for the thymus or pancreas, typically from calf and lamb."
I imagine this is not what the Kugane tea house is selling. For added amusement, "sweetmeats" are typically sweet treats and would have been a more correct term to use. ;) I am not really recommending that, however.
Oh, I also remembered a couple of times (and I don't recall exactly when), the word "scoff" was used to describe eating with gusto. Like, "She was scoffing down sweets."
"Scoff" is to show disdain for something. "Scarf," is the word being looked for, I think. "She scarfed down sweets."
Now that I've made two very nitpicky posts, I do want to say that I really enjoy all the localisations I'm able to read! The way the tone carries over through language is truly impressive. I like to have my sound set to Japanese and my UI set to English so that I can enjoy both (during voiced scenes, anyway). Keep up the great work!
'Scoff' is used in both definitions in British English, the 'scoffing down sweets' is more colloquial to the UK.
