materia supply missions

Since SE thinks its a good idea to make 400 variety's of materia I think it would be a good idea to have supply mission to trade them in for seals. Id be more comfortable changing gear that cost 50k to make in to materia that npc's for 500gil if maybe i could get some seals for them.

I thought materia reform would include inventory management, not just making more materia.

kind of off on a tangent here, but i was hoping they'd implement some sort of materia mixing system (maybe for alchemist, yes??)

but i have so many junk materia on a retainer, i'd love to mix them together in hopes of making something new

Just getting more from materia would be good in any sense.

Seals sound like a great trade. The idea of alchemy to improve or mix materia sounds pretty nice to.

I'd much rather see a reform to how materia is stacked then to put them into the seal exchange program. As it stands now every discipline has their own unique category for exchanging seals Crafters have items, Gatherers have materials and Fighters have NMs/dungeon loot. Adding materia to the mix would mean that they are admiting that x materia is useless. The reason why items/materials are exchangeable is to the control the flow of materials that enter the market, but even then it takes 0 seconds to cap mistletoes upon resetting at the Grand Company at a 1700 item cap.

It be much better to consider ideas that would expand materia as a whole then one that's just used to clear unwanted materia.

I would have to agree with Airget, this reform was the perfect time for them to remove semi-tiers and consolidate the materia in general.

things dont have to be one way, mutliple systems can work in conjunction with each other.

Agreed with syntaxlies. Some people may need seals while others would need better materia. I can see having multiple systems on what can be done with materia.
