Spiritbonding gear

Please revert these changes:

"To reduce system stress, the timing with which changes to gear durability and spiritbond are processed has been adjusted."

I can no longer spiritbond gear outside of duties (overworld), and I can no longer choose to start spiritbonding other gear inside the dungeon when individual pieces (should) have finished spiritbonding say after a pack of mobs, nor can I put on something else for a boss/before a pack of mobs, say that I have a gear with 96% done, its a waste to use it for a pack of mobs unlike a gear with like 71% spiritbonding done.

with how the game throws materia at us i struggle to see how spiritbonding is even an issue anymore.
This from someone who used to spend hours upon hours spiritbonding gear.

It doesn't throw Grade 1, 2, and 3 battle materia at us which remains important to one of the steps for the Zodiac relic.

Is this the reason why I'm having so much trouble spiritbonding low level gear when I'm seeing people from 2 years ago saying they're spiritbonding stuff fairly quickly?

I just did some low lvl fates for yokai yesterday and my gear was spiritbinding like crazy. And i don't think you should change gear in duties just to spiritbond when materia is cheap as hell. I just vendor them bc market prices are too low.

Yes. Those guides are all obsolete now. You only make progress spirit bonding when a duty is complete. So at the end of the dungeon or when completing a FATE. Randomly killing adds in the open world won’t spirit bond your gear anymore, as of 5.3

Fates are still a source of Spiritbond for low level materia. Due to Extract Materia, the prices of these are still significantly cheaper than in the past anyway. I see no reason to revert something that would cause stress to the server over a few worthless materia.

What they could do however, is add a Materia section to the poetics vendor and allow you to buy all outdated combat materia (grade 1-6).
