Flash

I can't be the only one who misses flash, right? Why'd they have to get rid of it anyway? I mean it kinda did stink that it did no damage but it was fun in a way.

PLD at the time only had Flash while DRK and WAR had Overpower/Unleash which meant they contributed more damage to killing adds faster, while PLD only had Circle of Scorn every 30s. Flash did 0 damage but just reduced damage a bit. To fix this, they gave PLD Sheltron on a shorter recast/higher duration, deleted flash, and gave them Full Eclipse/Prominence. Now PLD in additional also has Holy Circle, which I suppose they could add a Blind effect to if they wanted to make it flash-esque, but it's unnecessary.

As a fellow flash enthusiast I kind of miss it too for nostalgia if nothing else but it would be obsolete now that we have actual aoe and the way aggro works in this game now.

I feel that they could bring flash back as an oGCD or something, little extra bit of mitigation for PLD, on a 60s or 90s cooldown or something, I liked Flash, feel its a nice skill that shouldn't go to waste.

Too many Roes were Flashing Lalas in Limsa, so they removed it, lol.

It had it's use in defense as well, with the blind effect.
Mostly for dungeon pulls but it was fun regardless!

Flash was useful back in is time. But now it be useless bloat button compare to other defensely cooldown/tag aoe nowdays.

If they scrapped role actions and gave jobs their own versions of those skills, then I could see it coming back as a reskin of Reprisal.

Flash: Blinds nearby enemies and reduces their damage dealt by 10%.

Honestly hated the animation and especially the sound it made, and the fact it didn't do any damage made it a wholly unsatisfying ability imo. It was a decent ability flavor wise though I guess but personally just didn't like it.
