A heart for BLU

At first, I haven't started the yokai event yet because everyone else is doing it and I don't want to get stressed out by them.
In 2-3 Weeks I will be a bit bored again and will have the time to grind some fates.

I wanted to open a post to have a vote against all this BLU hate.

I'm happy to be doing this event and to be able to farm a lot of fates just because I can play BLU.

The BLU is a wonderful class that brings some variety to the game.
For example I like to make the lvl 60 treasure maps, just because I can play the BLU there and unpack the funny kit.

And the Fates...
I have already helped some friends to farm the annoying atmas and it was always a joy.
It's just fun to have all your skills on a low lvl and use them.
Because of the strength of the skills the fates are usually completed quickly and farming Atmas was no problem.


I really hope that SE ignores all the hate and doesn't suddenly weaken the BLU and completely remove this unique feeling of playing with it which you rarely have anyway.

Beside that, in 2 weeks nobody will talk about the event anymore and then I would like to have the BLU in its full strength and finish the event for me.

i dont mind really but announcing on discord you got 12-13 yokai weapon so fast and just halves a day....just ....eughhhh

Considering that BLU is unusable in most of the game's content, I like how they're useful for speedfarming in this event. I personally don't like any of the yokai event rewards despite having a lvl 60 BLU, so I won't be doing it. For those who dislike BLU or don't have one levelled, they could always wait a couple of weeks when the hype dies down. The ones annoyed, I feel, are those who want to get the stuff immediately. 5.4 would probably come by december, so people have plenty of time to do this.

BLU sure can be fun to play. Even more when you compare it to every other classes/jobs that sync and leave you with one weak skill to spam.
BLU keeps all its weird skills, keeps full power... and you can play it so rarely!

The issue with BLU is only that it grants a huge unfair advantage during FATE farming events, where people farming along with any of the 17/18 other classes/jobs get merely nothing. FATE farming is not the funniest activity and getting even less because a BLU takes all is not helping.

And BLU players know that. How can one enjoy playing BLU while knowing it ruins others playtime?

Earlier today, I entered an area and started farming FATEs. A BLU was there farming too. When I complained about it, something like "GREAT ANOTHER BLU", he changed job. He wanted the fun BLU gives but obviously not at the cost of others dealing with it. By the time my mood was up again, I couldn't find him to thank him.

This is what I wish for. BLU players enjoying it as much as possible, just not at at the expense of every other players.

I'm just even more convinced that BLU is a failed experiment. Can't be used to play any of the endgame content, you have to rely on other people to unlock new skills in the first place (and I simply hate dragging friends into dungeon farms for my own benifit), and when you actually have a decent skill set, they become so OP that they ruin the low level content for anyone else. I missed out on like 3-4 Fates in a row last night, because they simply melted the boss before I had the chance to get a hit in.

They really need to upgrade Blue Mage into a full fledged Job, nerf it into oblivion, and never repeat the mistake of adding a Limited Job ever again.

What could be nice for everyone is something like this:
- 1st week of event: BLU can't do it;
- 2nd week: BLU can;
- 3rd week: BLU can't;
- 4th week: BLU can;
And so on.
It would be official, there would be time for everyone and no reason to complain.

Telling a job that it can't do an event for this week and then that week is not the answer. BLU can't do a lot of things as it is. Open world events like this, BLU can participate and that's a good thing. I didn't see much in problems with BLUs yesterday that I see people upset about in another thread (not saying it doesn't exist, but that wasn't the issue I saw). What I saw was people swarming and zerging fates so fast that if you were a little late and not in a party you wouldn't get anything. I also saw a lot of yelling in shout "stop splitting the fates, go with the group so we can all do all of them". I chuckled at that ngl (this happened later in the day as people were getting off work - before then there were a lot of ppl doing fates in a pretty chill way). People always want to tell other people how to play.

I guess I got all 17 weapons in the 9 hours it took for me to get the new 4 in SB zones where you can't even do much with BLU.

There's no problem with BLU participating and getting credit, I've been using BLU myself, but I've been doing so mindful that other players need credit as well so I've been switching on mighty guard and using Rams Voice/Bad Breath to ensure others can tag.

The problem is the 8 person BLU trains spamming Missile/Tail Spin/L5 Death to ensure noone else can get credit.
