Stat Point Assignment.

Hello,

I just started a few days ago, and I'm doing pretty good. But there is something I don't seem to be able to find any information on, rather it be buried among the others post or what I don't know.

But I'm level 9 now and I each time I level I go to check my stat points to see if I have any to assign to specific stats, but with each level they keep getting automatically assigned for me I don't get the chance to do so. Why is this? Is there a setting I'm over looking that says "leave that alone" or something along those lines, or is manual stat allocation just not possible at this time?

You get 5 stat points to allocate from L10 on each class (except Gathering/Synth classes) then 1 point each other level, in the menu bar the +/- will highlight as you gain those levels.

So if I read that right, I get 5 points at level 10 to allocate to the stat(s) of my choosing, and then I get 1 point to put where I want it every level after that?

Back in the day we assigned all our own stats. But I guess SE figured we were too stupid to be trusted with that.

Rather than making an other thread. i have a stat question do some races have higher stats than others like in ff11 Mithra's had the highest base Dex. or with this new stat system does that not matter so much now.

Race never mattered stat-wise in this game aside from a miniscule point difference at level 1. This is still the case, as I believe after a few levels everyones' stats even out, so you can pick whatever race you want based on appearance instead of being restricted by stats.
