My friend wants what's in the title, but it seems like the default on legacy controls is to curve slightly when pressing the A/D keys. He doesn't want to turn on strafe, or switch to standard controls, or press additional buttons. One of my veteran friends can run straight when pressing the A/D key with these same conditions, but doesn't know the setting he used. Any guidance on how to set this up?

Your friend required to press one additional button, right mouse button. Since Legacy is camera base control, holding right mouse button will lock your camera straight forward and he will run straight to left/right when pressing A/D(That's bind to move L/R).

Then i press Q/E my character runs straight left/right. Maybe its the same for your friend. If it is he only needs to change the Hotkeys from Q/E to A/D.
It should be under Keybind - Movement - stafe Left/strafe Right if im right. -
07-28-2020, 07:14 PMRongwayThe problem with Strafe keybinds is they force a backpedal, which negates one of the primary benefits of Legacy movement. Legacy movement is meant to use "Move ____ / Turn ____" keybinds instead of "Strafe ____" so that all movement is forward movement.Quote:
