Will be great, have 15 "common" slots shared by all jobs, and another 15 slots linked to the current job you have when you open it. Kupo!

Not getting you. Why not just 30 plates?
Oh each. That would be nice, but considering how the only upgrade we got was from 10 to 15 I doubt they would be quick about giving us more than 20 times as many.
If they could just keep it equal to the number of current jobs plus 11 for crafting an gathering, plus 1 for misc.
Sounds like a lot of extra data for them to keep track of on the back end, so I'm not sure if we can expect that much of a jump.
Honestly, I'd be happy if they added more than one weapon slot on a glamour plate.
When I have a glamour that works with more than one job, I have to use separates plate just to hold the glam for the others weapons.
However, I doubt the technical debt from 1.0 allows for such a thing.
sigh, this sh*t again :|
This scapegoat is even more ridiculous with the present topic since glamours plates shouldn't be server-side (if they are, well that's the current devs fault...)
Even for FFXI, they've been able to create from scratch, in 2015, an all new functionality with 100 sets, that can be used for both changing equipment and changing appearance (the equivalent of gearset and glamour plates in FFXIV)

So they struggle to fit 15 plates, and you want them to just add, just like that... 255 extra plates?
I would be happy with them allowing one plate per job as sort of your "default" for that job and then even just 10 extras.
The biggest issue I have is really just when I switch between jobs of the same role because they share the same gear. Dancer, Bard and Machinist for example all have completely different styles but share the same gear and it just kind of sucks that you have to be in a City to properly switch between Dancer and Machinist given that you can technically switch jobs any time you're not in combat.
Honestly, I think these kinds of things should just be a pay-per-month upgrade like retainers. If the data is so taxing on the system, then just have players pay for the storage system via Mog Station. A retainer adds roughly what, 150 slots for a buck. If a buck could get you, I dunno, 10 plates per month that's not bad.
Personally, I don't need more than 1 or 2 for most jobs. Maybe 5-6 for my mains?
This so much, its super annoying on my tanks and casters >_>
That gets be back to i can use 8 chars at 10 retainers (max) and yet i cant use one char with 20 or have 2x the space on each, while its still the same amount of data - heck let me have less chars per server for gettin more slots in exchange... its basically the same on glamourplates and slots in the dresser...
