As you can see in the roadmap, SE is doing "Basic testing operations" with the 2.0 servers already running on their internal development equipment. They only have to finish a few things before start porting all the old content from 1.x. But the servers are ready.
If they're not late, the maps should are ready, the UI, engine, camera, mail, delivery system, new markets, enemy, items, friend/black list, leves, battle system, etc..

Can we have some news from this chart and/or videos/screenshots/files/pdf/benchmark/comments/news of FFXIV 2.0?

I'd love to see some news, but that timeline is likely delayed by now, not because they suck or anything like that, just when you dont work on x stuff for x amount of days, everything after is pushed along.

Now I dont know for fact there is delays on 2.0 specific stuff but with delays on 1.x stuff this has likely pushed the timeline forward a lot.

Also as far as I remember, they will be giving us something at E3, we know Yoshi wants to make a big deal about it so it should be good, not to mention, some kings (Blizzard, ArenaNet) wont be at e3 so the MMO crowd will be small, thus those seeking MMO news would only find XIV or that FPS mmo.. so E3 2012 has come in SE's favor this year with nearly no competition.

I think the whole dev notices saying "x will be in 2.0" "look forward to it in 2.0" is enough news for them to give us for now.

It is likely so much is changing behind the scenes that they cant just spit things out again, remember all the stuff you saw in XIV trailers that didnt make it into the game? (Titan, Steal, etc) so it is likely they be cautious.

We would all love to hear something, but we're now in April, only got this month and May then its e3, can we wait 2 months when we've been waiting a year/half? I think so yes.

lmao omg you ppl never stop asking for news! Just wait, jesus. We just got news not that long ago in the last producer letter, ppl are anticipating way way too much. You will get news *when* there's news. Also wait for E3.

It's generally not about whats on the show floor anyway, most of the hype will come from media and the SE conference as it always does.

Problem is that SE have a bad habit of showing things behind closed doors to media only, hopefully they don't do this with 2.0.

You remember XIV at e3 in 2010? Was show cased in Sony's Conference, on the big screen, stating the big "COMING TO PS3!" was huge, hell even stairs into e3 had XIV stickers on them lol.

Nothing will be behind closed doors, Yoshi already wants to make a big deal about e3, and there is no really other place to do it, TGS is a bit late and not good scene for it. It is all they have!

Well they did say about a week or two ago they're porting over old content and code now..so ..

True enough, they have hinted at another live letter with information on 2.0, whether that will be before E3 is anybodies guess, I wouldn't be surprised to see one before though.

I would rather they save it all and make a huge splash with 2.0 at E3 which really isn't that far away (June 5th-7th). After that, they can start steadily giving more details.
