Macros while casting
Hello,
My suggestion is something that should have been added with macros but still didn't:
-Be able to use macro that change equip while casting spells.-
In game had been added a lot of diferents equips that serve for one purpose or another but they can't be used due the problem above. Let me explain it with an example:
First, we are a Black Mage and we want to do a combo of: Thunder > thundara > Thundaga. In addition we have 2 sets of gear: "Default" and "Critical".
With the above in mind, this is how the current macro system works:
-We start to cast Thunder with default set up.
-Thunder does 1 dmg and active the combo.
-We start to cast Thundara with default set up.
-Thundara does 2 dmg and active last part of combo.
-We use Excruciate, Parsimony, Quelling Strike...but we can't use a macro to change gear because due latency of server/game + the combo timer, if we use all this then hit Thundaga the spell will end the cast without combo.
-Critical~Thundaga cast is finished without the buff of combo and does 30 dmg.
:mad::mad:
How should be with be able to use macro-equip while casting:
-We start to cast Thunder with default set up.
-Thunder does 1 dmg and active the combo.
-We start to cast Thundara with default set up.
-Thundara does 2 dmg and active last part of combo.
-We use Excruciate, Parsimony, Quelling Strike and use Thundaga. While Thundaga we use a macro-equip change for equip our "Critical" set.
-While Thundaga is casting the following equip is been changed: Wizard's Tonban, Aubriest's Whisper.
(Thundaga cast finishes...)
-Critical~ Thundaga does 150 dmg with the combo effect.
:D:D
As you can see if the dev's are going to add diferent magic skills, we need this feature to be enabled if not, the whole "magic skill job" at least for some combos of BLM doesn't worth nothing.
Thanks for your time.

I like the idea, even tho I played 11 for 6 years, adds variety to gear and making certain pieces worthwhile.. but being said the community doesn't want this implemented.. so be prepared for the flamers to commence there flaming..
all the pro people do it anyways.. no reason why mages shouldn't how the current system works.. melee get away with no gear swapping.. but if I become more efficient for my team and myself with gear swapping, then I will gladly gear swap.. some people just can't get out of the mindset "omg not another 11 idea"

and yet we complain that the current inventory slots are not enough - now you want to have 200 pieces of gear for each job. Guess some ppl will NEVER be happy with any product that Square Enix puts out.
