Geomancer idea

Helloo i thought of a possible storyline for the geomancer type healer class and a way itl play i dont have a full idea but here it is
the geomancer is an elemental based mage and i was thinking of the dormant elementals living all over eorzea but mostly within the black shroud
the elementals are based on all the elements so that would fit the class and theres characters that can interact with them (padjal) so theres possible main class quest characters and the way itl play is based on elemental stances where you summon 3 elementals that dance around you and give you a mix of spell types so the nature stance would summon a water, earth and wind elemental giving you spells based on those the weapon used i cant really think of for some reason i was thinking of a flute? play soothing songs to calm the elements
thats all i have for the moment so hope you like my ideas and that you can understand what i said

Would Conjurer split into WHM or GMN like ARC splits into SCH and SMN? SE has said they won't do that again.

If not, how do you see the GMN questline fitting into how Conjury and White Magic have been portrayed so far in terms of explaining the differences? I'm not saying it can't be done, especially if the job starts at 60 or 70. If a visitor from the Far East who practices Geomancy had heard about the Elementals in the Black Shroud, that would explain why someone was there offering a new way to use elemental magic. Perhaps the typical way of calming an Elemental isn't working for the Padjals for some reason, which may even be due to the Geomancer's presence.

As for the mechanics, it sounds like you are suggesting either a pet class similar to Scholar or at least a basic summons or stance that would alter a spell. So a simple single elemental spell, let's call it Elemental Strike just to give it a name, would become Water Strike, Earth Strike, etc. depending on which elemental aspect is active at that time. And possible for utility and healing spells as well? Like Soothing Water, Soothing Earth, and so on? Using a musical instrument like a flute, or perhaps given other FF games, even a bell for the weapon slot.

If this doesn't fit the general idea you have in mind let me know, but that's how I would envision fleshing out the kind of starter questline and job design you seem to be suggesting.

How do you think the story would handle the communing with elementals to set it apart from that being the basis of conjurer progressing into white mage?

Would this be a completely different school of geomancy than what they have in Yanxia, the bell wielding and not communing with elemental types?

ye the elementals arent pets just a flashy look for the class/spells and a indicator of what element stance your in and i think that is the main problem trying to make it different then conjurer not linked like smn/sch and yes tinythinker youve got some good ideas the stances would change what the spells do kind of like astro but itl be all your spells instead and basicblake it could be a mix of alot of classes from alot of areas possibly
the storyline im still struggling with i know many years ago in the game lore the elementals disintegrated people who went against there law so there is that possibility of bad things happening there

o and a little thought on the class and flute could be based on a story from the past something like during a dark brutal war where all the land was in chaos a lady walked out into the battlefield playing a soothing song then the weather started changing and soon the fury of the elements was upon them once the battle was over she simply vanished everything about her is a mystery

This seems like a cool idea, just not for Geomancer. We know a lot about the lore of Geomancy in Yanxia and nothing about them says healer. Like they were dropping Garlean airships out of the sky.

I do think it'd be cool to have a real musical class especially a healer, this feels more like what Bard should have been instead of dollar store Ranger we got now.

Plus we know they're not gonna do anymore split jobs since they're very near to nuking classes as a whole.

well my geomancer idea is based on using all the elements which the elementals cover it also gives a base story area that can be expanded on and i must of missed that part of the story somehow
