Let us use glamour plates outside of combat, not just in cities/residential/housing!

I don't get why they ever made it this way. I can glamour items inside a duty or anywhere using my glamour items in my item storage area but can't use glamour plates which does same
thing makes no since.

It's because glamour plates are stored in a separate database, and just like the glamour dresser inventory, retainers, etc. accessing this additional database in a zone with enemies and battle data would strain the servers.

Cause if there’s one thing Lominsa is known for, its for putting no strain on the servers.

Glamour plate data is accessible anywhere. If it wasn't, you would not be able to even access the menu that shows the plates in the first place


Also the glamour plate data can easily be read and copied by the client even if the servers store it. Stop saying everything causes "strain on the servers" when it really doesn't

It doesn't do quite the same thing. At very least, applying a prism is less data-intensive than applying a plate (i.e. up to twelve glamours in rapid succession) but also probably the difference between data "carried with you" or stored elsewhere in the system, just like you can't access retainer inventories or the saddlebag from anywhere.

There was a technical post a while back that gave some insight into just how awkward their inventory system is, and how they have to wrangle with it to expand things.

That's exactly the case. You can't access the menu at all in areas where you can't apply plates. You just get an error message saying it's not available.

I don't understand the issues on the technical side but I would like it. Guess it has to do with 1.0 code. SE has done tons of QoL updates and this would be a good one in the pile. Someone should ask about this next time they do a Q/A.
