Can't launch game from steam anymore

I've already tried to ask this, but found no solution and seems like my post kinda died, since it was moved to general discussions. Some time ago, I tried launching the game as usual, after 800 hours of playing. For some reason tho, the game starts but before getting to the launcher, it just shuts down. I managed to circumvent this problem by creating a copy of the executable file, added "-issteam" to the properties and the game launches again, but without steam overlay. To this day, trying to play from steam doesn't work. Any ideas?

How long have you been experiencing this issue? Additionally, what have you tried so far to alleviate the issue? Could you also provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

This issue started about 2 weeks ago or so. I was playing normally through steam, then one day I was out of town and the next day when I came back, it just stopped launching. The only way I can play now is by making a copy of the .exe file found in the game's folder and add "-issteam" to the properties.

Could you try doing a cleanboot? Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

Thank you for your availability and help, really. I'm sorry if I wasted your time, but I just realized what it was. I had no idea it was possible, but it seems like MSI afterburner was conflicting with steam. I just turned it off and now the game boots up normally. Thanks again and sorry
