BARD and Performance

Any fellow Bard and musician here? Wanted to ask how is the input delay if anyone using MIDI keyboard to perform in the game. Before i buy a midi keyboard to perform casually.
oh and does the sustain pedal work?
If anything couldn’t they just implement some sort of system in the game that makes it
easy like when u use a keyboard or a mouse. Idk.
