Where is this coming from

One or more of your client settings files, which include your hotbar settings, failed to save.

I keep getting this and have no clue why

Where in game do you experience this error message? Additionally, how long have you been receiving it?

First two times I was turning in a quest, third time happened out of nowhere. and so far twice on the 14th and once on the 15th. checked to make sure nothing was read only and or locked in game files.

To clarify, are you having difficulties adjusting the hotbars? Do they not save if you attempt to change them? Are there any other settings you are having issues with?

So the message just pops up notdoing anything with hotbars at the time, not trying to change anything when it happened just playing.

What have you tried so far to fix the issue? Additionally, does it occur when the hot bars are edited?

i've been getting this also randomly sometimes multiple times a day

So I have made sure nothing got turned into a rof, made sure ff14 has permissions to change files. Not sure what this "hot bars are edited" and thank you for trying to fiq this out

Could toy try deleting the locally saved content(My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV)?
