Macros

Could someone please be so kind as to help a new PLD out with macro help.. specially Cover.. im having a difficult time using it in group.. LVL 43 pld atm. and maybe some other necessary marcos. THanks Megalo

I actually just made up a cover macro.

/ac cover <stparty>
<sign0>

Puts the HP sign above your head since you'll be taking extra damage. I have a party chat in there too but considering getting rid of it as it's kind of redundant. Was just thinking about this, and you could use countdowns for things such as cover. You're kind of putting yourself in danger taking more damage than usual so you want to make it really obvious to your healers whats going on.

/ac cover <stparty>
<sign0>
/countdown 15

I use the controller for most everything, though, so I don't have too many macros. If you're dead set on some I would recommend the following (I'll probably be doing the same)

/ac Outmaneuver <me>
/wait 1
/ac "Divine Veil" <me>

/ac Provoke <t>
/wait 1
/ac flash <t>

etc.

This will Cover the highest enmity member of your group.

Besides, if you're doing it right and it works the way you suggest that would use cover on yourself.

Fixed /targetpc instead of /targetnpc.

And will try to Cover myself only if hate is on me, but If I lose hate or hate reseted will work wonderly well.

Or you can just do /ac Cover <st> and then click the name in the party list before the blm finishes casting flare so he doesn't eat all the first hits.
