Right now you can change the color of player names, but you always have to choose 1 color for everyone.
My suggestion is to give more customisation options. For example an option to assign individual colors to specific roles, because *reasons*.
Imagine dps players having red names,
healers having green names,
and tanks having blue names,
wouldnt that be awesome for autistic people like me?
That would be a great idea. Straight up. Autistic or not.
I absolutely want this as a feature in the friend list. I assigned FC mates as one group while the people from my old FC as another. Then another group from linkshell. Would be nice to distinguish them by colours when I see them in hubs since I have other PC names turned off.

I'm autistic and admittedly I don't see why that in specific is a reasoning for this, but...
I'm still all for it! More name color customization would be nice - I've always wished we could have FC members set to a different color, similar to the way we can do so for party members. Adding additional ways to recolor nameplates would be great.

(and just a reminder that players-made add-ons for UI was supposed to be a thing, which would have allowed this kind of things to be done easily ; this and million of other small and nice adjustments)
