Rubberbanding issues
Greetings,
I've been experiencing heavy rubberbanding issues for the past two days of gaming, all on the EU servers. I've seen a similar case happen in a previous thread that relates to my case:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Louisoix/page2
I'm connected through a wired connection to the router-modem, my ISP is MEO, I was wondering if I could get any help through here as I've run troubleshooting incessantly on the most varied means, from turning off CPU throttling to troubleshooting via Internet Explorer as I've witnessed in several other support pages.
My game runs perfectly when connected to the US or JP servers as well, I beg for assistance. :(

I've been having these issues ever since Spriggan and Twintania were added to Chaos and Light Datacenters.
depending on the load on the servers, i experience severe rubberbanding lag to the point where gameplay becomes impossible.
this has been discussed in a german thread on these forums before, but SE has been silent about it.

I've been having the same issues to the point of being "forced" to use a VPN in order to play the game.
My ISP is MEO as well and I have a wired connection as well.

I'm having the same problem, and while I feel the EU server/routing never has been stable for a long time the past few weeks things are getting worse.
last weekend ping went over 1000ms at certain times, below you can see that on hop14
I'm from the Netherlands, IPS Ziggo.

even now there are still some problems with packetloss happening every now and then, see trace below.

I would also like to point out that I can connect to the NA servers just fine without lag.
did a trace this weekend to show that it's not my connection, so it seems that somewhere in the routing to the EU servers there is a problem going on.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
Acornbot, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
- Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
- Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
- Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game
- Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
▼TCP
54992 through 54994,
55006 through 55007,
55021 through 55040
-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.
Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I've mentioned in my first post, I've gone through that troubleshooting as part of my many attempts, without success at improving the situation, thank you for the reply. I will try to contact my ISP to open those ports for me as I've attempted to on my own but was unable to safely complete.

Also being affected by this for the last couple of days, while previously i had no issues - and also under MEO ISP, while connected via NOS Mobile Internet it works fine, Acornbot since you mentioned you were contacting MEO, was there any light?
Also good to note, this issue happens for me in both PS4 and PC, so the Internet Explorer General troubleshooting steps will never have any effect.
As it currently stands it looks like its ISP related, at least on my end.

Just started having this the past day or two and I have never had this issue before, though it might have started earlier since I hadn't been playing much recently.
This is on NA Adamantoise, rubberbanding all over the place. I can't even play the game because the game just completely stops and speeds up.
For note it is only FF14 I have this problem with.

I'm currently experiencing exactly what you are. It's infuriating.
