housing transfer

Hello so I have a question and tried writing to support and their not really helpful..soo I have a shared estate with a friend where I have no contact with anymore and he hasn't played for 2 years...and was wondering if there was any way to if I can make myself owner of the shared estate with out him needing to transfer. like I said I have no contact with him and he hasn't been on in 2 years. could use some help. :o

There is no way to transfer a house between two players. The first player would need to demolish it and then relinquish the land, following which the second player would need to buy the plot from the placard. Note that after it is demolished and relinquished, there will be a random invisible timer that needs to run out before it will be available for purchase - this timer can be anywhere from an hour to 24 hours, to my understanding, and there's no way to know how long it is until it finishes and the plot becomes available for purchase. You can bypass the timer by purchasing another available plot and then transferring your estate to the desired location.

In the case of your friend, he must still be logging on and entering the house at least once every 45 days or it would've automatically demolished long ago. That makes me think he'd like to keep the house, unless he is doing this for your sake. You'd have to get him to agree to give it up before you could do the above.

There's a demolition timer if the house owner doesn't enter the house at least once every 45 days. If this is a personal house, tenants don't count; it must be the primary owner. So if the house still exists, your friend still plays and is simply avoiding you.

If it's a free company house, any FC member can reset the timer. The only way to take over an FC with an inactive leader is through in-game systems after a period of inactivity from the current FC leader. If you have not yet gained FC lead, the leader still plays and is simply avoiding you.

Under no circumstances will a GM transfer ownership of a personal home from one player to another, nor will they manually intervene to change FC leadership. You'll need to wait for the in-game systems to take effect (demolish the personal house or grant you FC leadership) and then take action from there (repurchase the house and start from scratch if it's a personal house that gets demolished).

Considering you're fairly certain that he hasn't played in 2 years, are you certain he is the actual owner of the house and not you? You can easily verify this by checking the owner name listed on the placard.

Buy a new house; abandon the old.

Is this a FC house? If the owner hasn't played for 2 years the house would have auto demolished. They would have had to enter it at least once every 45 days so it doesn't appear to be a private estate. If it's a FC you may be the owner/leader now.
