Combat Log used skill and success should be on same line; also missing data

The combat (battle) log isn't very clear when you want to answer common questions like "how did I die?" or "how much is this condition hitting me for?" or "how much is the condition i placed on the boss ticking for?" or "how much is my Regen or my party member's Regen ticking for?"

Following are four of the main issues I'm seeing with interpreting what happened, and possible advice on improving its visibility/clarity:

1. For starters, the attack and its success should be on the same line. Currently there appears to be

• an optional "begins casting" line
• the actual "uses X"
• a line for direct hit
• a line for critical hit
• a line for just hit (if it's not a DH or Crit...?)

It should just be "Player directly hits Mob with Skill for 1000 damage", showing the subject, the target, the skill, and the damage, all in one line. Tack on " and also critically hits for 300 damage" if it's some sort of multi-hit proc. Just keep it in one line, please, so it's crystal clear what caused the damage.

2. There are many attacks missing. I'm not seeing DoTs in the log, for example. I'm not seeing special DoTs on me, like Holy Chain from Vault. I'm "taking damage" but source isn't mentioned. It should say, "Holy Chain burns you for 1253 damage" every proc. I'm not seeing friendly DoTs on the boss. Every DoT proc should be in the log, like "Aero hits Boss for 1000". Not just a bunch of silence and then "Boss recovers from Aero".

3. Lot of buff tick information is missing. Just like for the conditions (DoTs), similarly the game is leaving out beneficial buffs. I need a line in the combat log every time Regen or Medica2 procs on me, please, and for how much.

4. "You are defeated" line is often by itself with no explanation. It should say the appropriate hit or DoT tick and on the same line, perhaps add in "You are defeated." If coloring is an issue, just color the whole thing gray.

Together, let's make the combat log great again!

P.S. This post prompted by my latest "mysterious death" from a dungeon run. I do have all of "You", "Party", and even "Other PC" options checked off.

The point is to make in-game live data clearer, so that you could take a few seconds, scroll back, and have w/e brief moments of confusion answered.

I know what you refer to, and they go ham on post-game super analysis, which is a different topic imo. I'm not looking for tables and tables and tables to solve the simple questions.
