What are the most supportive jobs in each role?

Heya,

Returning player here so please keep in mind that I've forgotten most of the technical stuff.

I enjoy playing the jobs the most that are the best at making the party shine with supportive abilities. Under that description fall buffs, heals, dmg negation and abilities that help you to mitigate the effect of teammate mistakes...
My question to you is which jobs at each role fit that bill the most?

I assume:
Healer: Astrologian
Dps: Dancer, Bard
Tank: Paladin, Gunblade
?

White mage "Rescue" comes to mind, actually. Bard can help remove negative effects. Paladin has great acute healing.

"Rescue" is not exclusive to WHM, it's healers role spell.

I find WARs "Nascent Flash" quite useful, tho it's not "Clemency" from PLD, thats true. =\

For tanks its PLD hands down. Insta-cast clemency (potentially 80K heal on anyone in the party for 5 GCDs in a row... but dont actually do this unless you are now the fill-in healer while they get raised), Divine Veil (10% of PLD max health shield on everyone in the party) and Passage of Arms (15% damage mitigation for the party)

FFXIV's job never had a lot of supportive skill, but it's gotten worst with ShB since the devs desired to reduce job synergy to a minimum..

I feel your list is pretty complete.. maybe a honorable mention do MCH and RDM? maybe?

Tank: Paladin. He can heal (with Clemency), apply shield (Divine Veil, 10% of its own HP on everyone), mitigate damage for everyone (Passage of the Arms, 15% mitigation), Cover (80% of the damage suffered by the target is going to him), etc.
Healer: Astrologian. He heals (duh?), he can apply shields (NoctAST) or regens (DiuAST), buff damage (cards) and, of course, can ress.
DPS:
Melee: Monk. He can increase healing by 10% (Mantra) and increase everyone physical damage by 5% (Brotherhood).
Ranged: Dancer. He can increase someone else's damage (Standard/Technical Finish), AoE Heal (Curing Waltz), Mitigate (Shield Samba), increase Crit/Dhit for someone else, encrease everyone's HP recovery (Improvisation)...
Caster: Red Mage. He can heal (Vercure), Raise (Verraise) and increase everyone magic damage (Embolden).
