FATEs for DoL/DoH! Incentive and feedback Thread

I would like to suggest FATEs to DoH/DoL.

For example, we have a mining area in Amh Araeng, there could be a world fate where a Talos + Trolley is waiting in the station, gathering Miners, then the Talos start moving and everybody automatically enters in a instance full of valuable minerals. All players need to full the trolley with mineral to return and at the end they receive xp and a chance to receive more than one mineral.

This could be a free version of the allowance system.
And I'm happy that they are adding something along these lines for Fishing.

What do you wish a Fate for DoH/DoL could be like?

Ishgard Restoration 5.2 is supposed to show us.

Considering how the FATEs turned out in Ishgard 5.1, I'm not optimistic that SE can create engaging FATEs for DoH/DoL.

It also sounds like an excellent way for lazy players to leech off other players to get their DoH/DoL leveled. I don't see that as a good thing.

That would be new for DoL, yes. But that’s in no way different from people getting Leve packages from some DoH to powerlevel their own DoH with. True, there’s less monetary incentive for the higher DoH than there is with leve kits, but the end result is the exact same : someone at a higher level than his knowledge of the class.

At least the player making the leve kits gets something in return from the buying player for their extra effort. Paid carries are a sad but standard practice in MMOs.

DoH/DoL FATEs would amount to a free carry unless SE created a reward structure based on percentage of contribution and not a minimum contribution. If the OP's trolley needs to be filled with 100 ore for completion, the player who collects 50 ore should be getting 5 times the reward of the players who collected 10 ore. They shouldn't get the same reward.

I think the idea has potential, especially if there are 'boss' level FATE's that are difficult to complete and provide rare materials as an incentive and reward.
