Main Scenario Roulette

Please fix Castrum Meridianum exp. to make it close to other one. Today I got it and healer leaves before even starts and 5 seconds later I'm only one left and everyone else has dropped the party and left. So here you wait 30 minutes just get inside to have whole party leave on you before even starts isn't right. This needs fixed so this doesn't keep happening to ones. I could see new player final gets it to pop for there main story just get inside and be left there standing alone. I could see this making new players want just up and quit from it.

I agree. Castrum may be a little shorter, but it's actually also more annoying because of the cutscenes starting up in the middle of a fight when someone turns off the search lights. And the listen to Cid after fighting the magitech armor cutscene... finish that, go through the trash chute and as soon as the first person gets up the stairs, we're thrown into ANOTHER cutscene showing the ceruleum plant. Why not just have that one tagged on to the end of Cid's?

But for annoyance factor and the fact people will take the penalty because they want Prae's rewards, the exp needs to be closer so people don't leave others in the lurch.

Granted, I get Castrum more than Prae and have not had everyone else leave, but I know it does happen.

I have had that happen many a time too, but I usually only queue for msq roulette when I only can/want to pay a fraction of a fraction of my attn to my screen or when I know I will need to be able to walk away from my PC for large chunks of time without needing to afk, so it isn't a big deal to me if I have to requeue cause prae is better for that anyway, but I can see how its an issue to ppl with limited play time.

But if they equalized the exp we would have the opposite problem of ppl dropping when they get prae. I mean, I have got up from my desk, walked across the street, gotten a coffee and muffin, walked back and still was in the same cs that was playing when I left, so they need to offer big rewards on prae cause its likely less ppl would stick around for it if they did equalize it.

It's also likely in 5.3 that they will be reduced to solo instances or instances with trusts so that roulette will go away anyway.

I usually rejoice when I get Castrum as opposed to the Netflix bunker. The rewards are still pretty high and its a whopping 20 to 25 minutes (depending on your group and how they can handly a "speed run") faster. But yeah, I've seen people drop out as well. This is especially confusing when it's a DPS who probably already waited 30+ minutes for an entry just to wait another 30 minutes for the penalty to wear off and then do all the waiting over again? Like, uuh - what? Those extra 5 million exp surely are not worth all the additional time wasted, are they?

I never had anyone leave in Castrum, and I get Castrum 99% of the time. It might depend on the data center.
But I agree with Tyssyn, Castrum is way more frustrating to stick to, it's basically all running around, killing trash, and having super short cinmetics every 2 seconds while in combat. You can't even do anything else during cinematics because of how short they are,
