A rank hunts spawning off the map

Today when was doing a map in Eastern Thanalan and saw A rank there spawn and instantly fall into believe the ocean there around X: 14.6 Y: 16.2. Looked very weird when saw it. Has anyone else ever seen anything like this before?

Well, if i knew that countless ennemys 30 levels above me would come to kick my a**, and that i wouldn't last for more than 5 seconds before being killed, i would also flee where i can. Maybe they have got now a better AI than waiting still to be slaughtered ?







More seriously i did never see that.

From what I've observed hunt spawn points are not exact and there's something like an eight yard radius around each spawn point that a hunt can appear within. I reckon that particular spawn point just happens to be close enough to a cliff that the hunt can potentially spawn out of bounds then fall into the abyss.

Curious about whether it could happen to the S rank, too.

ive seen it occasonally. bugs happen, just put a ticket in and the GMs should be able to fix it.

wait, if an A rank falls off the map, does that mean it will never be killed, and would look like it never ever spawned? O-o
I'd imagine it would be pretty rage inducing if an S rank did this.

They automatically despawn after a set amount of time if they aren't killed for whatever reason.

just how lucky are you, I think I have seen 1 hunt spawn near me during my life.
