Loving the work that has gone into the blue mage story. I think its pretty impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out for the blue mages guild :)
The only area that bothers me is the Masked Carnivale - particularly fight 29. The difficulty on this seems way out of step with the difficulty of the others. Would it be possible to review this as it seems to be the hold up for a number of blue mages getting their resurrection spell.
it's a challenge but it's doable. you just need to learn the timing of the moves. it's pretty much all scripted just like any other fight.
I agree to an extent but I don't think the solution is nerfing the fight difficulty itself, rather each fight should have a list of spells you need or should have. (Forgive me I don't remember all the names off the top of my head) :
Masked Carnivale stage XX
Required spells to set- Debuff removal spell. Diamondback.
Recommended spells to set- Interrupt, stun, paralyze

I dunno about straight up telling you what to bring, but perhaps hints on what mechanics it has so you can preplan some. There is supposed to be kind of a puzzle element to it, and straight up telling you what to bring would remove that
That one was probably my favourite. I always walk around with aetherial mimicry healer and I found being topped and shielded for any mechanic allows you to mess up and survive.
I won taking multiple hits from the floor aoes in favour of dpsing and was fine. Only thing you have to keep an eye on is silencing the knockback and you're good really.
The Carnival seems to be an excuse to push you into using a lot of the spells that you normally wouldn't use because they suck.
Also 29 is insanely overtuned and needs to be reworked. It shouldn't take me over 200 tries to finish one of those fights.
