Aoe marker broken?

So first things first play on ps4

recently anytime i try to put down an aoe it snaps behind my character instead of center of the screen. I have to turn my camera behind me for my aoe marker to be on the boss now.

I haven't changed any settings so im not sure if an aoe marker setting got changed or im bugged.
Can anyone help me out?
