The Level 50, 60, and 70 Job Quests and their rewards

Most of the old Job Quests now give gear rewards to bump up the item level for newer players so they can faster and more easily get into the next expansions and content. Except you are only given half a set; no accessories, and either a weapon or belt missing. While technically this is “fine”, it still looks off to me and I wish they just went all in and gave away a full set instead. I did make some thinking myself of what exactly they could give away for the quests; if you’re interested in that then just continue reading.

Level 50 (all but SAM and RDM)

i90 Weapon from the weekly quest that requires you to clear the Extreme versions of Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit. (You already can get this from the post-ARR MSQ, so just give people this earlier) + i90 accessories from the discontinued Allagan Tomestone of Mythology.(Same as before, just give it earlier.) + a i90 (or i80 in the case of Hullbreaker Isle/Tam-Tara HM/Stone Vigil HM) ring from either of these; Binding Coil, PvP, Garuda EX, HQ crafting or Hullbreaker Isle/Tam-Tara HM/Stone Vigil HM.
Gave several options for the second ring since I assume SE is rather adamant about giving players stuff from raids and PvP for free.
This is going to be a continued trend through most of these. Also technically most of these are given out from the post-ARR MSQ, but would in my opinion be better off given straight from your Job Quest. So if this somehow got implemented the post-ARR MSQ gear rewards at or below this item level should be slowly removed a patch or two after this is in.

Level 50 (SAM and RDM)

HQ crafted i115 weapon instead of NQ like it is currently + HQ crafted i115 belt and accessories (or the accessories from above if you are really adamant about giving players this much of an easy item level boost).
Don't have as much of a gripe with this one, mostly just you being handed a NQ weapon when the rest of the free gear you get have stats equal to something HQ slightly bothers me.

Level 60 (all but SAM, RDM, GNB, and DNC)

You could leave the armor the same as now, but I would personally like to see the augmented versions of the same gear being in the coffer instead, which is i210. I can see why they didn't give us this to begin with though, since that would mean we wouldn't have to grind Centurio Seals to make it dyeable. It would then be complemented by the Allagan Tomestone of Esoterics weapon and accessories belonging to the same set (i200 or i210 depending on whether you change the armor up). The second ring again could be from several different sources depending on what SE is okay with giving to the player; i210 ring from the Gordias Savage raid, i205 ring from PvP, an unaugmented i200 ring from the Allagan Tomestone of Esoterics sets, or a i195 ring from Antitower/Lost City of Amdapor HM.

Level 60 (SAM and RDM)

Kind of a weird one since they don't get anything gear related for these quests, but due to that you can't do any of the content to get to the post-HW MSQ to get the free i240 gear they want to give you and are forced to buy some of the i260 Shire gear with Allagan Tomestone of Poetics, or spend gil on NQ crafted i255 gear to get past the roadblock. Though since a lot of the Allagan Tomestone of Esoterics gear is locked to specific jobs, you can't give that to SAM and RDM except for the belts and accessories, so you would have to give them something else.
The Gordias Savage gear is the same item level, but I very much doubt SE would want to give away any of that. The closest then without going above the item level of the Allagan Tomestone of Esoterics gear is the i205 PvP sets. Probably still something they wouldn't like giving away on a whim, but there aren't many other options without going further up or down in item level and risk making it not good enough, or too good so they don't want to replace it with the i240 gear they get later.
The i205 weapons from PvP is also the only ones at a similar item level to the Allagan Tomestone of Esoterics weapons that isn't from Savage raids or Extreme trials, so they don't have much choice unless they make new weapons out of the blue. So to summarize; i205 weapon from PvP + i205 armor from PvP + i200/i210 belt and accessories + i205 ring from PvP or i195 ring from Antitower/Lost City of Amdapor HM. This assumes you want to give them a full set though. If you just want to go the current way of giving gear at 60 Job Quests you could just give them a set of the i200 Void Ark armor and belt, or the i195 Antitower/Lost City of Amdapor HM armor and belt.

Level 60 (GNB and DNC)

Mostly the same as SAM and RDM at 50. Just give them a HQ weapon instead with a HQ i255 crafted belt and accessories. Same as before, give them i200/i210 belt and accessories if you think this is way too high.

Level 70 (all but GNB and DNC)

Somewhat odd here since there’s no job specific tomestone set to give away. So my solution would be to give away a slightly upgraded Eureka set. Specifically the i340 weapon and armor from Eureka Anemos, the stuff that ends with +1. Though I can understand if SE is against the idea of giving away Eureka gear, even if it’s only a slight skip and help on the way. Could utilise the i335 step instead if they’re against people getting such a big jump on getting their dyeable AF3, and the minor problem that new people will likely get confused when they see the “+1”.
They could also instead have it be the i340 augmented Allagan Tomestone of Creation weapon and armor, though it will obviously look weird getting it from a job quest, and getting two weapons and armor coffers especially. For the rest would be i340 augmented Allagan Tomestone of Creation belt and accessories, and lastly a i340 ring from Deltascape Savage, an unaugmented i330 Allagan Tomestone of Creation ring or a i325 ring from Hells’ Lid/Fractal Continuum HM. Another way would be to just add HQ i290 crafter belt and accessories. Not much of an item level boost, but it’s something.
To note however is that SE realized their mistake with SAM and RDM in Heavensward and give the coffers in post-Stormblood content much sooner, so this gear will likely get replaced very soon, but a new player will most likely appreciate the item level boost anyway to get past Ala Mhigo and Shinryu easier.


Level 70 (GNB and DNC)

Like mentioned above, this isn’t as much of an issue as with SAM and RDM. Getting a coffer with free i370 gear very early on is very helpful. But that still leaves two duties that you have to do with below average gear unless you spent your hard earned gil or Poetics; Ala Mhigo and Shinryu. I would say to just give them the full i340 augmented Allagan Tomestone of Creation gear set with a i340 ring from Deltascape Savage, an unaugmented i330 Allagan Tomestone of Creation ring or a i325 ring from Hells’ Lid/Fractal Continuum HM, however there are no weapons for either GNB or DNC from this set.
So SE would either have to make ones right now from scratch, or take ones with a similar item level. Except there are none. The two closest are the i300 weapons from Ala Mhigo/Kugane Castle/Temple of the Fist or the i360 Allagan Tomestone of Mendacity weapon, of which the latter is too similar to one they will get soon enough anyway. So SE would have to get off their bum and make them.
