Question about level 50+ gathering

When I go to Coerthas Western Highlands to gather, say, mythrite sand or cedar logs, I only ever seem to find two nodes to harvest from. I know I can use King's Yield to increase the amount I get, but the yield from those two nodes will still fall far short of the amount I would like to gather and the amounts I see on the market board.

What am I missing? Thanks.

You are missing the rest of the nodes.
In level 51+ areas the gathering nodes are found in three sets of two nodes each. I.e. you find two nodes in one spot, and then some distance away there is another pair of nodes, and then yet another pair some distance from that. If you use your ability to find the nearest nodes after emptying the first pair you should get pointed to another pair of nodes.
This is unlike the ARR areas where gathering nodes are typically found in sets of four nodes.

Thanks for the reply.

I investigated and found out that my problem lay in thinking that Lay of the Land II was simply a more powerful version of the first Lay of the Land. Turns out that's wrong: Lay of the Land II, which I had been using, finds the highest level node in range, whereas the lower level version finds the nearest node. Since I had been using II, I never found the level 55 nodes I had been looking for, only the 60 ones.

Also a note on how the nodes repop...

In ARR zones, there are typically 4 nodes, and each node will repop after you hit two other nodes. So if you rotate all four nodes, it looks like this:

However, from HW onward, both nodes in a pair will repop after you hit one node in each of the other two pairs, so the repops look like this:

Both nodes in a pair count as one when triggering repops, so if you want to repop a specific node for some reason, you can hit just one node in each pair.
