Endless GP?

I was sitting near an Ephemeral node waiting for my GP / cordial to recover, when I noticed one player returning about once every 50 seconds and running what looked like a full collectable rotation (Discerning eye appearing occasionally) Every time. For me, with 796 GP. the only way I can do two ephemeral collections in a row is to use a cordial, then I need to wait about a minute.

This other player has 737 GP, 1840 perception, and 1936 gathering.
I have 786, 1951, and 1920.

Is there some food that gives you extremely fast GP recovery?

No boost to GP regen other than what you get as you level up.
it could be he wasn’t using GP moves and was collecting multiple low collectibility items.

I have wondered this too. I see people do this and thought how can they just keep farming without waiting on gp? Of course when I messaged them, no answer. Is there a rotation that doesn't require gp to farm ephemeral nodes?

Ive seen(and done) a variation on the "normal" rotation that doesnt spend any GP unless you get at least one free proc from Impulsive. They could also, as Canadane mentioned, be focusing on getting a high quantity of lower quality collectables. You sometimes see people respawning the node repeatedly trying to force out a favorable condition(like +2 swings or whatever) too.

Can bots cheat that lol? Or how do you do that with 0 GP?

Green Orange DE Orange can net you 500+ quality to avoid overcapping while waiting on a +2 node to dump

Green for 105, Orange with proc for 170-250, then DE Orange for another 170-250

There are more involved rotations that respond to how well impulsive appraisal works that require 200 gp at most and usaly take 0 gp using extra gp they have above that on single mind to increase yield. while it is more involved it overall will result in more aethersand. They could also be resting the node looking for a +2 collection node.
