Advice on Importing FFXIV Merchandise to North America?

Hi,

So, at FanFest 2018, there were a lot of people who were carrying around a giant Namazu Plushie that apparently is only available in Japan. A lot of them used a purchasing service (where you pay someone in Japan to go buy the item for you and ship it to NA) to obtain it.

I understand the purchasing thing, but how do I even go about figuring out what is available in Japan to begin with? I'm not very good with search engines, apparently, and it is making it hard for me to know what terms I should be looking for when I am trying to figure out what items are available.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I used this website called Amiami to buy Odin statue from Japan when it went out of stock from SE NA store. Their prices are really good and so was the shipping. They also have Shiva's statue at a good price if anyone's interested.
