Caffeine Cartel on Aegis

Caffeine Cartel is a mostly EST, multi-game social group of adult gamers with focus on Final Fantasy XIV and the soon to be released Tera Online. Our members are primarily North American and our events are scheduled in Eastern Time.

I am somewhat interested, but my playing habits are random and I don't have a normal type DD class 40+ yet (my highest is a 50CNJ/WHM, and my THM is almost 30).

Is it required that all new players are available for events every day or that they have a 40+ DD? I am sometimes very busy with college and such, and my fiancee and I also play WoW. Speaking of my lovely s/o, she just started playing FFXIV, but she obviously doesn't have anything that high yet. Would she be barred from joining? We like to do things together.

Oh, I went to look at your site and found the application template. Let me know if I should bother filling it out, and, if so, where I should post/submit it.

Do you have any combat classes at 40+: 50CNJ/WHM, if it counts.
Do you have any crafts at 40+: lolno. I'm not focusing on those just yet, but I will mess with them on occasion.
Which classes do you prefer?: MAGIC ONES

Are you against using voice chat and are you willing to, at bare minimum, join voice chat to listen during events you attend?
I'm not against it, really. I need to use TeamSpeak for events in my WoW guild, so I'm used to that. How much I'd be willing to have it up outside of events would really depend on how well I end up getting along with everyone, but I won't really know that until I meet you all. Also, there is the issue of not being able to tab out of the game when it's full screen. I wish SE would fix that...

How did you hear about Caffeine Cartel and why do you wish to join?
I saw it here. Also, PONIES! Yes, I'll admit, the ponies are what interested me. :P

How many linkshells do you consider to be "too many"?:
I don't know. I guess it depends on the person? I am a member of one other shell, but it looks like it exists only for chat right now. I don't have the desire to be a member of fifty billion shells, because that would get confusing, but I'd hope there isn't a rule banning me from joining others for social purposes if I feel so inclined to do so. However, if the LS is really cool, I probably won't.

Do you consider yourself to have thick skin?
To be honest, not really. :P It really depends on what it is in regard to, though. There are plenty of things I could care less about, then others that really get to me. If it's one thing I try to be, though, it's honest. I suppose if you want someone who is unfazed by everything, I am not your man.

Well...I tend to prefer to heal in games, but I also like to try other things, too. I'm still fairly newish to FFXIV and haven't been in too many "normal" parties, so I am still getting used to the mechanics. In WoW, I have a level 85 Disc Priest and Arcane Mage. In FFXI, my highest was WHM, but I never got beyond the 50s.

How much I play will revolve around how many other things I have to do, as well as how the game continues to develop. I can't promise that I'll like the way it turns out, but I hope I do. I also can't promise that I'll fit in with your LS, but, again, I hope so, and I won't possibly know until I try. If you already think I'm a bad match, feel free to say no. It won't kill me or anything. If there is anything else you want to know, just ask! :3

As much as we'd love to have more 40+ DD jobs, we're not going to go out of our way to require you to have one. Again, not that kind of LS.
