The Firmament CONJESTED

I have just tried to get into the firmament to participate in the fate. Except there are SO many players it's full and I and many others couldn't get in! Why was this stuff not instanced? Players from other servers have came and caused such a big influx of people that native's of the server can't take part.
I can see from shouts people are already tracking the progress of each server to go to every fate. So this problem will not go away.
Please hotfix this issue somehow :( very disappointed that I went early and couldn't get in!

Yeah, its scary. I'm crafting at my house to avoid all the lag I was getting there. And I'm on Bryn, one of the smallest servers out there.

These events being staggered and being able to do on all servers is silly if it's stopping people actually doing it ON THEIR OWN SERVER.

Yeah, I'm on Zodiark too. I have been gathering, crafting and turning in since just after 11 this morning when the content could be accessed (and enjoying it, make no mistake). Our server's progress was great, and it was nice to feel part of working towards something in this way. So I'm off to gather things, and decide to craft before returning to hand in and do the FATE. I get there, to Foundation, 10 minutes before, and meh, can't get in. On my own server. And when I finally do get in, it's all over and there's a bunch of people from other servers, deciding to take their "train" to the next server to do the same. Don't get me wrong. These people have been doing their work too, so I don't begrudge them the extra tokens on one hand. However, when it actually stops me getting into the thing on my own server, I have to think there's something a bit squiffy about this set-up, and it's leaving something of a sour taste after a really fun day.

So, I'm asking for one of two things as a fix, one more favourable than the other:

1. People cannot join in with the crafting FATE if it is not on their own server. They can't even enter the instance.

OR

2. Stack instances and somehow mush the results into one overall result for the server, reflected in all instances. This would be my preference (because I don't like taking shinies from others as in the first solution I have here), but I'm not in charge of this thing and don't know how this stuff works, don't know what SE can implement to alleviate this situation. I'm just a disgruntled customer, who has been waiting for this for months and subbed back to the game for it, and I'm disappointed in this poor handling of what was always going to be a very popular addition to the game.

EDIT, post rant. I have no real idea if people visiting from other worlds is the true issue here, so preventing them from entering the instance may not even fix the issue. It's my hope that SE will look at this and figure out something more in the way of the second solution so no one misses out, regardless of home world.

I am staying in the firmament intill the FATE pops I am not risking being looked out.

I dont think restricting outsiders to the fates is a good idea long-term. Sure, itll help mitigate the onslaught of people, but what about when restoration dies down? What reason would there be to help out some low-pop surver struggling to get to the halfway point when most others are complete AND you can get a fate at them?

Id much prefer the instance option, though Im not sure if it would be the best fit since thered prolly be instance hopping for bonus rewards.

I think some kinda extra bonhs to the fate based on how much you contributed in your world would at least trim the herd a little bit, would be complicated to impliment

Perhaps completing the FATE could apply some kind of character debuff that prevents you from doing another one for X hours?

People from your own world are what causes the fate bar to fill.

Those who wander only contribute to your restoration progress for whatever they do during the FATE (as in if its a gold silver bronze or fail). That is the only time they have an impact on your world.

It said somewhere in the help text that whatever items you hand in are contributed to the world you are currently located on, not your home world.
