For those of you doing the Ishgardian Restoration, could you clarify?

Since I'm just poking in between work and cant login to play, I'm curious as to how the restoration functions exactly.

It seems like a server wide progression, which sounds like it's entirely possible that a good chunk of things will be done before I even get a chance to login. Is this the case?

Are there Concerted Works that are constant which can be participated in no matter how much progress has been made?

Does this mean it will be impossible to see what things looked like when the area was completely untouched?

I can't say I'm a total fan of this system since it appears to be content that can't be repeated in its entirety, and players will miss out on the whole experience due to those rushing through it before others even get a chance. The patch notes didn't really explain it as detailed as I would've liked, so any further explanation is appreciated. Thanks!

Siren 50% done with Stage one.

I have no idea if you'll be able to see the "instance" the way it looks now after it is leveled up to stage two.

I believe it follows Mor Dhona/Idyllyshie route of once done you'll never see previous states, i'll edit in what happens once Gilgamesh is rank 2.

Edit eventually: Gilgamesh just did the 1st fate when wake up see what next step alters if it does

Edit 2 eventually: Yep permanently alters as your server progresses

This sounds kind of terrible if it is... I liked the Doman area that you could see each stage as the quest advanced, I would hope that there would be stages locked to individual progression so new players always see the disaster and people who have done the quest see the finished product.

I find it strange that the devs are concerned about players blitzing through the Main Scenario dungeons so much that they made the cutscenes unskippable...but then implement a system like this. A player could accept the quest to help restore Ishgard...only to see that everything's been built already.

Its a server effort to rebuild it. If you get there after its rebuilt, there wont be anything to rebuild, but you'll be able to make a lot of stoves or beds!

We're going building by building though, and its time gated, and it wont even be fully implemented for another few months.

Well a lot of servers already got one fate done and seemingly the next one is 8 hours later. Other than scrips and exp it does seemingly not give you more (and was disappointing). When the bar is completed you can still turn in all your items and just earn your exp and scrips. Not sure how it will be when the second fate is done but right now seemingly nothing much changed.

Still I dont really like that system. Too many people, fate is over fast and kinda boring and the rest is just custom delivery without an item limit. Doma restauration was also not much but right now I liked that one better because of the atmosphere.

I also wonder if that means that we wont get any cutscenes inbetween? Because if you are doing this later when the part is already completely rebuilt will you be spammed with cutscenes of the NPCs being thankfull for something you have not even done? I really liked the cutscenes in Doma, it would be sad if those are gone.

I don't think I've seen the specific fate yet. Do they give you the mats to craft or does everyone just bolt out and find them on their own?

No you have to gather the mats yourself (or buy them at the MB). They could have used fates all over the maps to let us gather the items, instead we just got more gathering nodes.

The fate itself spawns in the new zone and you have to click on something, then click on the next thing and then "build" something by clicking on it. (If you can see it)

I share this concern and I'm not even salty as I've got no crafters to level doing this anyway.
