Suggestion box: Additional Character Customization Options

It was on my mind for a while, but I was trying to think of a relatively simple solution for character customization for FFXIV.

Most of the options so far seem tailored for the characters head and face, so to add a little diversity for later, maybe you could add more in the form of additional content like the Jandeline our lovely hair stylist.

Picture it, a fabulous looking adventuring circus trio, one male Hrothgar flexing and showing off his muscles, the second, a lalafell, fat as a pumpkin being thrown around like a ball, the third a very scrawny Miqote, threading through some circus hoops, entertaining the crowds.

They all change through various body types and appearances at a whim, later to be revealed some cosmetic glamours (because who wouldn't want a lalafell beach ball?) They take interest in the protagonist and show them the ways of body glamouring! Adding new body types, arms, legs, posterior dimensions, etc.

Its a silly idea, but one I thought could be given some thought, thank you for reading all this, and thanks for all your hard work!

If I could play a female au ra that was tall and muscular I'd play one in a heartbeat, and I wish my catboy had a less muscular build, something more lithe.

As much as I'd love it I can't imagine them doing this unless the options were just copied from other races' builds exactly, otherwise the warping on clothing that a lot of combinations would produce seem like something SE wouldn't want to have in-game.

As much as I'd love this...we know they won't do it. People have been asking for more options in general just to have them largely ignored.

It's technically possible for them to create new body types via gear since they actually work more like 'skins' if that makes sense. There's a few things that already change the body shape compared to the base like the 2B leggings and the Monk AF2 chestpiece.

But base-wise, they might just excuse it by saying it might stress out the servers, just like anything they answer about more character creation options. I can tell it'll also be just a lot of busywork to redo the gear to accommodate new body shapes in general.

With the success Shadowbringers has been, I really hope they give it a needed overhaul.
