The changing of Eorzea

Hello all! So a new player here, less than 1 week in. I've been reading up on the changes coming and here is my question.

What content should I make sure I hit before the changes? I've seen some notes on the roadmap that SE released making it sound like they are implementing story elements to make the changing maps and such make sense. In short a consistency in the world while still making the needed improvements, but that this content will only be available "for those exploring Eorzea today". Is this the "Seventh Umbral Era" that is hinted at here and there so far?

So far I have gotten "out of Ul'dah" and completed the Fade to White main scenario, joined the Immortal Flames, and started my Path regarding the Echo.

Where should I focus to make sure I "live through" the changes to Eorzea?

If this post makes no sense then I've probably misunderstood something lol! Set me straight if that's the case!

You'll want to try to complete the main scenario plus the grand company scenarios as well. Also, be on the lookout for "imperial events" they usually implement every patch. Currently, there isn't one active (yet), but should be one soon given the size of dalamud.

Thanks for the info! Guess this was already the route I was on but I'd hate to wake up with the world different one day and have just missed out on the storyline!

the lvl 30 goobue mount is also something which is missable.

Yeah I feel like I may be missing a lot of stuff as I go. Figure I should have a chocobo by now at least! (Though to be fair I haven't really looked for one.) Is there a good online guide for the game? I've been looking at eorzopedia (sp) from time to time but it seems pretty lacking compared to the ffxiclopedia.

But will also be one of your bragging rights when post-2.0 players see you running by :D

Just being a new player you've already missed out on a bunch of "dynamic" content.

So really if you wanted to "live through the changes" you'd of been a player for a long time, otherwise you're just experiencing the final hour of the movie.
