Rested EXP Toggle
I play with my girlfriend, and we usually level together as to not get ahead and see new things without the other.
A rested EXP toggle that you could turn off when you didn't want to use your rested would be nice. We constantly have to make sure both of us want to play before doing anything, because we will use up the rested on something else. In other games, you only have one class (usually), so all the rested is used on that job.
In XIV, you have a choice. But everything you do uses the rested up. For example, I might be tired one day and just want to craft or gather, but I would rather use the rested on my main battle/magic class. I would have to first use up my rested on my battle/magic class then do whatever it was that I wanted to do.
Just a thought.

Yea the difference between rested exp and guardian's aspect, is that you were able to choose whether or not you wanted to activate guardian's aspect. With rested exp, you don't have a choice anymore. I think this needs to be fixed, as you might not always be necessarily playing on the class you want exp on. Crafting/gathering vs. battle class, is a good example of this. Maybe I just want to gather some ores so I can sell them but I really don't care about leveling up my miner, I'd rather save my rested exp for my battle classes. Would be nice if we can choose when we want to use the exp and when we don't.

I totally agree with the toggle rested exp idea; that'd be awesome.
But anyway...I'm only posting on this thread because I don't want to open a new thread for this simple question:
When not exping AND/OR logged out OUTSIDE of an inn...does the rested exp bonus deplete on it's own?
-
I support this idea, I'd rather use my rested exp on my crafting classes and not my DoLs.

lol :3

^ no. It also doesn't deplete if you kill stuff on lv50 classes.
I guess implementing a toggle won't hurt, but it will add more fragmentation to the whole system again.

Thanks Soukyuu, I appreciate the answer.

I like this idea, too. I prefer to use rested exp on crafting classes because I would rather spend more time out in the field.
