Silly question, but does this item still drop from Shiva EX? Have been doing trial unsynced for a few hours and have had everything drop but this damn rod, lol

...no True Ice Rod. :(
You are just having bad luck. There are 15 different weapons in that fight, wich means the average drop rate for either of them is 6.7%, wich is really not that much.
Funnily enough, my Retainer brought me one not that long ago.
