Okami Rojo's Costume Contest
WHEN: 10/27/19 @4pm EST
WHERE: Basement of Plot 36, 3 Ward, The Goblet. If there's more contestants than the house can take, we’ll be use the center of the ward as the contest site.
DETAILS: Okami Rojo is holding a costume contest in our basement tavern utilizing the following rules.
The contest will be held over 3 rounds + a possible tie breaker.
Each round will see contestants called up in alphabetical order to stand on our stage and apply a Glamour Plate that holds their costume entry for the round’s theme (see below). Once applied, 3 judges will grant points and compare gear against the ban list, found at this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
Contestants can earn up to 5 points per each of 3 categories (see below)/per judge/per round. The contestant with the most points at the end of the 3 rounds is declared the winner. A tie breaker round will settle any ties at that point. Please note, weapons will count as part of your glamour and affect scores.
REGISTRATION: Registration begins at 12pm EST at the contest sight & lasts until 3:45pm EST. To register, please /tell Dreaxzyl Novablade during these times about your interest in participating in the costume contest.
PRIZE: The contestant with the most points wins a modest sum of 1 million Gil.
THEMES
[Round 1] A Day in the Life of an NPC: Glamour up as an Eorzean citizen! Rich or poor, it doesn’t matter. Just be sure that you’d pass for an NPC in this round.
[Round 2] Movie Character: Glamour yourself as a movie character. Please let the judges know what character from what movie you’re dressing up as when it’s your turn so they can google it & give you a proper score.
[Round 3] Otaku Cosplay: Glamour yourself as your favorite character from an anime, manga, or video game! As with the 2nd round, please let the judges know what character from what title you’re dressing up as during your turn so we can google it & give a proper score.
[Tie Breaker Round] The True End-Game: Put on your personal favorite glamour plate & let your personality shine in this final effort to claim victory in the contest.
POINT CATEGORIES
Originality: Points from this category are based on how uniquely you decided to mix-match gear to pull off your glamour as well as how much effort might have went into collecting its components.
IE: Are you using a pre-matched gear set or are you putting together from multiple sets.
Creativity: Points in category are based on how well you’ve mix-matched the fine details & colors of your glamour to synchronize & pull off your look.
IE: What sort of accessories & colors to make your look work and do they look well together.
Impression: This category's points are based on how much of an initial wow factor your look has.
