Dancer a bit feminine

Admittedly, I haven't played it a lot yet but was it only me that was a little dissapointed that the dance moves are so "feminine".

Let me rephrase that: I understand if others does not mind the animations but for me personally.

I used to dance a lot of streetdance and breakdance when I was a teenager and I'll tell you, I might have been athletic slim built back then but there would be no chance that I could move as the dancer because I don't have the hips/feminine figure or grace to pull it off.

I would have liked if the animations were a little more "heavy" in their expression. There's nothing wrong with having soft moves when dancing but when everything is soft all the time it becomes a bit boring and the dance doesn't really tell a story.

I agree with you OP, the thing is some jobs fit more on a specific gender.

For example WAR is a manly man job, and WHM is more femenine, though that might vary depending on people perception.

I take op hasn't done ballet or ballroom as a child due to the post but I have since the ages of 3 and let me tell you. Men are supposed to be elegant yet fierce strong but soft. My last three years of dancing which is 15-18 I was athletically bulky

I get what you mean but dancer doesn't dance ballet and ballet does not consist only of graceful soft dancesteps. It depends a lot of which type of ballet you practice.
There's a reason that most professional b-boys take ballet classes.

I can agree with you on traditional ballet being very elegant .

Dancer however is supposed to be a war dance form and such you should have to move much faster and with more weight in your throws. "
War dance" is not very far from martial arts e.g. capoeira for example although they mostly use kicks, sometimes weapons.

It's just IMO I know. Sometimes it's just nice to throw your IMO out and discuss

Yes but dancer is not a traditional dancer job

Dancer is a warrior first a performer second.

Almost every fight scene has a samba feel to it also there stranded step and tech step are ballet

Dancers don't learn a general type of dance that can mold to various builds and personality types through different move sets. Dancers learn a specific dance style developed by a specific Hannish dance troupe for a specific performance purpose that gets expanded on by the job lore.

It's fine if the animations don't appeal to you, that's another matter, but you're simply not thinking about it the way the devs did. Perhaps it's just not the job for you?
