FFXI Classes-->FFXIV

Which if any, FFXI classes would you like to see in FFXIV? Please explain why you would like to see it and what benefit it would add.

Thief- I don't see how it could be Final Fantasy without a thief class :)

Summoner- I'm excited to see how this would be implemented into the game, I do think the animation would be gorgeous. I only started to attain the summons about a month prior to me leaving FFXI, and it's one of the things I regret not experiencing.

Beast-master- my first job to 75 in FFXI and I loved the whole experience.

Commando, Saboteur, Sentinel, Medic, Ravager and Synergist.

Hmm interesting topic.

Personally in keeping with the tradition of mixing and matching jobs and classes in XIV, I would love to see a combination of Samurai and Ninja. I always thought that the classes could have been mixed in XI, but in XIV it makes it all the more possible.

Also wouldn't mind seeing a combination of Beastmaster + Summoner, not sure how SE could accomplish this but i think it might be possible.

Beastmaster was my first 75 as well! Long live pet jobs!

I want to see Red Mage - even though i F$&*#$G hated maat, I really enjoyed the DD/Mage aspect. plus its been in a handful of previous games.

Samurai

What is a JMMORPG without a katana?

Definitly a summoner.

I would like summoner, beastmaster, samurai, heck, I wouldn't disagree with puppetmaster. Basically all of the FFXI jobs plus maybe some new ones that I can't conceive of at present.
