Suggestion: Change to the way Garo achievements work

Hey! Apologies if there's already been a similar suggestion (a cursory search didn't yield anything, so I thought it might be alright to make a new topic).

As the thread title suggests, I was wondering if I could suggest a change to the way Garo achievements are handled (and subsequently how the gear is stored)?

As a lead-in, I believe that currently the only way to store Garo gear without it taking up a ton of inventory/retainer space/the only method available to everyone is putting it in the glamor dresser. Whilst that does free up inventory space, it then means that it takes up a ton of space in the glamor dresser, which already has a limited amount of slots for gear. Considering that, the only other (less limited) storage options would be either the Calamity Salvager or the armoire.

The armoire seems like it would be the simplest option, as although there's the option to rebuy it from the Calamity Salvager (along with the other gender model gear, I believe?), this only applies if you have the title, which requires you to have both the gear and the relevant job at 60. However, limiting it to armoire storage means that if you want the other gender model gear, you have to essentially spend twice the amount of Wolf Marks in order to obtain all of them if you don't have the job at 60/don't have that job full stop (if it's possible to obtain the other gender model gear from the Calamity Salvager just through having the achievement).

As such, I was wondering if it would be viable to change the way the Garo achievements are obtained to the way I think the achievements for the Yokai Watch collab items were: namely being able to obtain the achievements just by obtaining the relevant items, and 'handing them in' to the Disreputable Priest to unlock the achievement (instead of the current method of having to talk to them whilst the gear is equipped). I feel like this would solve both the problem of the Garo gear taking up a limited amount of storage space and the availability of the other gender model gear for those who don't have the relevant job at 60.

(... I think that's how it worked for the Yokai collab, anyway? It's been a while).

As for possible reasons why people might want to get the Garo gear even if they don't have the relevant jobs/aren't planning to change their character gender anytime soon: in my case, at least, it's 1) for collection purposes (as it seems like the gear will no longer be available after this), and 2) wanting some of the gear to use for glamoring my squadron members (which I would need the other gender character model gear for), haha.

I'm not sure how possible this would be/how viable it is to implement (especially before the collab ends), but thought it was worth suggesting anyway! Also, sorry if I've gotten some of the details wrong re. how things currently work; I wasn't able to check some things there.

First of all - before even reading this Garo's gone in like a month, it is unlikely in the final 4 weeks of the event they will make changes to a set of achievements that's easily at least a couple of years old at this point.

Store Garo gear in your retainer, or after you've got the achievement - dump the gear. If you want to glam it later on you can just get it back from the salvager. Given the existence of retainers as well, I think space to store the gear is more than generous and people in this game just hoard too much.

An important note for dumping gear and re-purchasing it: you can't repurchase the invisible PLD shield, so hold onto that.

Can't repurchase the accessories either if anyone is going for completionism.

I'd definitely like it if they were to change it up as you suggested! Especially if they were to bring back the event some other time like they did with the Yokai Watch one. It would be nice if I could just get the gear for classes I haven't gotten around to fully level, especially to use for Squadron members to have via the Salvager, as you said.

@op you are basically asking for something that already exist ingame. A gear vendor that changes male gear into female and vice versa. But you had to write an essay about that suggestion :P

While it's true that you don't get the achievement if you aren't lvl 60 yet, doesn't really mean you run into storage problems, cause like already pointed out, you only need to keep the sets for the classes that are not 60 yet. The rest you can dumb and repurchase at the salvager npc for BOTH genders, no matter what your current gender is.

The event is live since years... If you really don't find the time to level, there are always jump potions if you care that much about the achievements.
