Newcomer looking for friendly people or free company

I've recently started playing Final Fantasy XIV and enjoy it a lot.
After some time with the story and getting a bit into the game I'd like to meet some friendly people or a company to have some fun together :)

Since I barely know anything in here it'd be nice if there are some people who can show me a thing or two :o
