I doubt this will reach the right people but I wanted to post anyways. Thanks for giving this character a better ending. In the grand scheme of things its pretty small but, it meant something to me.
So. Thanks!

Signed, it eases the sadness to ave confirmed what many already suspected...
What's this in reference to out of curiosity? New/altered cutscene in the Omega story?
If you haven't yet, read the newest Tales from the Shadows.

Everyone I know is all "Oh, Zenos is my BFF", but Omega is the real murderous best friend I made in Stormblood. It wanted to learn how to become human and Fantasia'd into a cute girl that kept spamming Limit Break macros. And I can respect that.
Please put a spoiler warning in your original post, and maybe hide the other text with (hb) tags. Not everyone will have read the story or know what you're talking about.
(Though it's probably something of a lost cause now when you can't alter the title.)
I think they're title is clear enough and their post is vague enough to not be a spoiler.
edit: actually, I came to this thread to agree with the OP. These side stories are really great and well made and I loved reading them, especially the most recent one with Omega.
I hadnt realized they put out story stuff.
So omega still lives. Cool :D.
But that being said, God blackrose is some messed up stuff. It stops a person from breathing, but the implication from that is you dont die from the poison, you die from suffocation. I dont recall if that is specfically mentioned in the MSQ but jesus. What a messed up weapon.
So about BlackRose... I'm going off memory here:
Actually, it kills by more or less muffling/stalling/robbing the area of aether? It does what was happening with the imbalance of 'too much Light' on the First, in that Light was static and ripping out all other aether from the area, I think is how it was explained? BlackRose behaves in a similar fashion where it kind of... muffles/strangles/strips aether from an area? Correct me if I am wrong, but that is what caused the major Calamity, because nothing could flourish anymore where it went. No crops, no life, nothing. It was worse than burning the fields and salting them, so to speak. It couldn't be fixed by any conventional means.
