Still experiencing Freezes and lockups due to ingame FPS limiter

Wanted to repost this to make it a concern. I still in ffxiv have to limit reduce the performance of my pc to be able to play ffxiv. My PC is completely 4k capable on all games i play yet ffxiv still requires me to limit my fps to 32 using the in game limiter or it will after a period result in a full total pc lockup. again no errors no changes in screen whats on the screen is what is seen when it freezes please dont close this concern it is still an issue and needs to be fixed

No it is literally only if i try and raise the fps of ffxiv above 50fps. it was from the maint involving the fps cap because it never did this before until after that. i dont get this problem in any other game. IT only happens in ffxiv and it only happens if i try to go higher than 50 fps. which far below the capabillity of my pc

By the way 1903 removed my cousin's chipset to his motherboard which was causing freezes he went and reinstalled the chipset for the motherboard got rid of those freezes.
not sure if its the same for you but he would freeze couldn't move character unless he shut off pc and rebooted, he thought it was a OS problem at first so he reinstalled checked ram and video card stuff.

after reinstalling chipset it just stopped freezing him.


Again he would lock up lose controller menu's would freeze and icons would vanish once he reinstalled chipset it was fine.

DemascusW, could you provide a system report? Open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

Could you update the graphics drivers as a new one is available. Check whether the game is running in full screen mode, windowed or borderless full screen. If the game is ran on or windowed borderless full screen, does it still crash?

everything is up to date, it doesnt matter the if run in fullscreen window or borderless. nothing else is wrong. what triggers the freeze is if i go into settings and change the FPS limiter above 32 fps. that is it nothing else that is the only thing that triggers it to freeze. the in game fps limiter. before the maintenance to limit players to 90 fps i could run my pc at max settings no problem 144 fps at all times never a freeze. then the claim that players were experiencing crashes and not even able to start the game caused the changeback, at some point during this revert something got messed up, and now i cant set my frames high other wise otherwise i experience issues. so either someone set it up to appear as if you reverted the change, where you could still go higher than 90 fps but you will be punished with crashes and freezes or their is a bug in the data.. idk im not a smart pc guy.
