how hard was it for you to get your blue mage spells out of Trials?

did you make your own group in pfinder and hope for the best?

did it with you FC?

any advice?

I duo'd up with my boyfriend and then we took turns in who went bluemage and who came on a real level 70 job - we always asked in FC-chat if anyone wanted in and just let them come as bluemage only. I recall doing 2 hours of Garuda with a full FC-group - 7 bluemages and me on scholar... it wasnt fun...

All in all it took us a week to get all the spells for my boyfriends bluemage, I didnt bother with mine to much because I dont really care.

Best advice: Do the stuff with people you can trust to get your own spell aswell and take as many bluemages as possible

Depends on the spell. Self-Destruct was hell because we had around 30 people camping around the bombs and would purposefully kill them so people couldn't see the attack.

I joined PF groups that were listed as seeking specific spells at a 4/4 trade rate which was common at the time. Half the party would go in on 70 level jobs and demolish the mobs while the other hand BLU hopefully learned. Every so many runs (5 sometimes 10) the group would switch. Ideally all would stay til everyone learned, which happened most of the time in my experience. However many others reported far sadder outcomes.

This was also a week or so after BLU release when things were much busier also. I'd wager it's a slower road now, especially so close to the expansions new content.

124 Shiva kills.

I don't remember how long they took, but it was a teeth-grindingly long time.

Humorously, though, I got Hellfire from Ifrit Normal on my first attempt after the patch.

But that's not a Trial spell. I wound up getting that one from Halatali in the end to avoid griefing, though.

12 Titan kills
132 Ifrit kills (100 of those from ifrit normal before bug was fixed)
2 Leviathan kills
67 Ramuh kills
15 Shiva kills

Suffice to say it really is just rng if you are lucky or unlucky to get it, i typically did it with randoms but that was when everyone was doing it nowadays try grabbing 1 lv80 friend since they can kill all solo no problem now.

Oh, I misread the thread title as "Outside of Trials", that was my problem there.

For Trials...oof, Titan. 158 runs before I got the move, and it brought all the horrors back.

Around 150 runs of Ifrit. Haven't hated myself enough to go back for the rest.

For me Shiva was the worst one (Had about 90-ish diamond dusts in my item bag), but when I did finish up I was making 1/7 parties a lot where I was scholar and everyone else was blu. If people were dumb I'd refuse to rez them
